1. Local deliveries

All delivery addresses which are in the shaded area of our local delivery map are free and are delivered by our own fleet of vehicles.

2. National deliveries

Deliveries that fall outside of our free delivery area (see free delivery map)and within mainland UK - a contracted third party logistics firm, which we work in partnership with, they will deliver your order direct to outside your front door. Lead times for our contracted delivery service will be confirmed with charges applicable upon receipt of order. Use the postcode checker above to check for charges.

We do not deliver any orders outside of mainland UK except for the Channel Islands and Isle Of Wight - please email sales@sweetdreamsbeds.com or telephone 01489 578856 for current prices

3. Other delivery information

Sweetdreams / contracted deliverers will not remove existing pieces of furniture to help make room for newly delivered products. Likewise, old pieces of furniture will not be taken away. The customer must take the responsibility to organise the removal and disposal of unwanted furniture.

Sweetdreams and our contracted deliverers if requested by the customer will assist the customer in taking the order into the premises, to the appropriate room. However, prior to delivery permission must be sought by Sweetdreams and if agreed, both Sweetdreams / the contractor and the personnel of Sweetdreams / the contractor will not accept liability for any damage both to the delivered product and to the customers property, (including all types of fixtures, fittings and building structure), whilst assisting the customer with such a request. The customer must solely take responsibility for this action. Any consequent damage should fall under the customer's household insurance.

If Sweetdreams agrees to such a request, there will be no additional charge. It will be expected that the passageway and the necessary room(s) will have been cleared in order to make way for the order.

Sweetdreams / third party contractors will not assemble any orders even if requested to do so. The assembly of orders is the responsibility of the customer.

4. Delivery vehicles.

Customers should assume that the delivery vehicle will be a long, heavy goods vehicle, -weighing approximately 16.5 tonnes with a height of 126. Therefore it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that such a vehicle has legal access to their property and inform us about any weight, height and parking restrictions, as well as any difficult access points and un-adopted roads/ paths in order to help us deliver your order and ensure that we have made arrangements for the appropriate size of delivery vehicle to be used.

Failure to disclose this information may result in an aborted delivery and a delivery charge being levied.

In order to prevent damage to our/ contracted vehicles, un-adopted roads, paths and tracks will not be taken by delivery vehicles. Alternative routes must be provided by the customer. back to top

5. Charges

Within our shaded delivery area most deliveries if done at scheduled times will be free. For deliveries outside this area a charge will be levied. This charge is per drop not per item. All charges will be confirmed following receipt of your order. The charge for this national delivery service is 49.00 inc vat. Please Note that some smaller items can often be couriered for a smaller fee please check with the office for exact charges.

Aborted deliveries will be charged a minimum of 49.00. Please see our terms and conditions.

Sweetdreams reserves the right to amend the delivery charges.

6. Informing you about anticipated delivery timescale.

Included on our website are details of the anticipated manufacturers delivery times. This can be used as an indicator for how long it will take Sweetdreams to receive the product, if we do not have such items in stock.

Upon receipt of your order, Sweetdreams will confirm your order, via e-mail, phone or post if e-mail is unavailable.

Included within this order confirmation will be details of our stock availability and anticipated delivery timescales.

Where items are in stock at the time of your order we will endeavour to deliver the item to you within 7- 21 days.

If we need to order direct from the manufacturer as we do not have the item in stock, the average lead time is 2-6 weeks depending upon the nature of the item ordered and the manufacturer.

We will keep customers informed if there is any delay on the anticipated delivery time of goods that has previously been included within our order confirmation.

7. Tracking of delivery.

8. Confirming the delivery date

Once your product is ready for dispatch either we will contact you or our contracted delivery service will contact you in order to arrange a mutually suitable delivery date. back to top

9. Delivery Lead Times

These are estimated delivery lead times given to us by our manufacturers. Please note these times are only a guide and may very slightly depending on the time of the year.
